PANORAMIC MARIN Habitat

In a landscape newly envisioned by Boxleaf Design, soft, naturalistic plantings and sharp geometries create a juxtaposition intriguing enough to be the home of an artist.

The landscape takes advantage of its unique positioning on top of Mount Tamalpais, by framing expansive views and celebrating the soft sweeps of fog that optimize Southern Marin. Oxbow enhanced the views and attracted wildlife by planting meadow-like areas of wildflowers, perennials and grasses, engaging the property’s human occupants with interconnected gravel pathways.

Oxbow also addressed the challenges of a steep site, performing all excavation and grading. The boulders were moved on site and carefully placed to accent the landscape and planted slopes.

The Oxbow team installed a landscape trifecta of a pool, hot tub and cold plunge, each creating their own geometric form within the low-maintenance Thermory pool deck. An outdoor kitchen and shower complete the full entertaining arrangement.
