CARNEROS HAVEN
Throughout this landscape in windy Carneros, perennials move in the breeze and catch the afternoon light. Broad swaths of planting make the most of the flat, expansive site. Oxbow was able to complete the build during winter, while contending with high ground waters.
Landscape architects Lucas & Lucas created space in the backyard by designing a raised peninsula that responded to an existing, updated pool. The raised terrace accentuates the slight changes in grade and is central to all outdoor activities, including a bocce court, pizza oven and dining area shaded by olive trees. The large fireplace punctuates the end of the peninsula.
